Hugh Bisset to head up Houston Office

In July, PJV celebrated the 30 year anniversary of Richard Newton, Materials Manager, joining PJ Valves. Steven Charles, Managing Director, said of Richard’s employment “Richard joined PJV initially on 2 weeks work experience in 1985 before accepting a long term position with the company. Over that time, Richard has seen the company move office twice, grow considerably and move into manufacturing our own product. Richard’s longevity is an amazing achievement and he has a few more years left in the tank yet – he may need an oil change though.”...

PJ Valves, APAC was set up in Singapore early 2015 to offer our product, expertise and service within the Asia Pacific region. The market is very mature and well established so to move into the market place and be successful PJV had to be able to offer something different and extra to the customers. By introducing our technical expertise, values and attitudes to the region PJV have seen significant order wins for our manufactured product through major projects, both onshore and offshore. Six months in Singapore

In May, Charlie Lodge was invited by the Chinese Extreme Sports Committee to represent Great Britain in the Chinese R2 2015 Tour in Yichang, Hubei Provence, China. A number of teams were invited from all over the world to compete against local teams. The race was over an 18km section of river and the team where the fastest time won. “The river was difficult and technical, I have never seen a competition held on that sort of river before”, despite this, alongside his training whilst working full time at PJV, he and his team mate finished with a silver medal. Charlie said, “We are incredibly proud of ourselves and are looking forward to travelling to Indonesia to compete in The World Championship in November”....

Charlie Lodge - Great Britain Rafting Team

PJ Valves continue to grow and expand at the EIC Connect Exhibition in Abu Dhabi. In June, the exhibition gave PJV the chance to explore the Middle East market and meet with major end users and engineering contractors in the region. Spencer Linsell, Sales Director said, “Over 500 delegates in attendance at the event where we hoped to establish new working relationships. The event was a real success!”...

In a market climate where low hydrocarbon prices have delayed investment decisions and new field development, PJ Valves are working closely with our customers to engineer solutions that enable them to maximise project cost efficiency. As the number of sanctioned projects has slowed, loading through the manufacturing supply chain has decreased. In general, those projects that do proceed should feel the commercial benefits of lower costs and improved delivery driven by increased capacity and competition.
