Peru LNG is the first natural gas liquefaction plant in South America. The LNG plant (constructed by CB&I) is a single train facility with a capacity of 4.4 million tonnes a year. The marine terminal EPC was handled by a consortium of Saipem, Jan De Nul and Oderbrecht.
Over a period of two years, our client contracted PJ Valves across several purchase orders to manufacture multiple valve packages including:
- Ball and check valves for cryogenic service in stainless steel, ranging from ¾” to 6” up to a pressure class of 600#.
- Gate valves in stainless steel up to 8” in size and 150# pressure class, with extended bonnet for cryogenic service.
PJ Valves worked closely with the client to accommodate their witness testing requirements during extensive cryogenic testing. All valve packages were delivered within committed time, with delivery ranging from 24 to 28 weeks. This aided the on-time construction of a headline project with significant strategic importance to the Peruvian state.
