Maersk Peregrino

About Maersk Peregrino

The Peregrino FPSO project was located in the Campos Basin approximately 85km offshore Brazil. The project involved the construction of 6,500 metric tons of topside modules for the Peregrino floating, production, storage and offloading (FPSO) vessel from A.P. Moller - Maersk A/S.

PJ Valves were recommended to this customer due to our Norsok specification expertise and supply experience. This was a fast track project and we helped by managing changes and additions to the programme as engineering progressed in parallel with actual supply and manufacture. Our customer required approximately $1.6m gate, globe and check valve package in carbon steel, stainless steel, duplex and super duplex materials.

While our knowledge of the technical project specifications led our customer to place the project orders with PJ Valves, it was our order management skills that enabled us to be successful. In particular, our ability to manage international projects across three continents involving various engineering and fabrication companies whilst at the same time manage complex project changes and additions. The customer commented positively about our change management capabilities, communication skills, documentation quality and drive to support the project through to completion.
