Petrobras Espirito Santo

About Petrobras Espirito Santo

Espirito Santo is one of Shell’s most challenging deep water projects and lies in 1,780m of water. It is the first of its kind based fully on subsea oil and gas separation and subsea pumping.

Specification

Our customer was providing significant process packages for this SBM deepwater FPSO that was to be based off Brazil. Shell was a joint venture operator of the project alongside Petrobras and ONGC. Our customer was employed to supply a combined sulphate removal / wash water membrane package of capacity 75,000 BPD / 5,000 BPD respectively.

We supplied a large range of manual and actuated valves and this presented production and co-ordination challenges across many sub-suppliers. This project also included some very low volume cast steel products against project specifications that needed particularly strong management. PJ Valves worked to ensure information flowed freely between the numerous sub-suppliers to our customer's specific requirements.

Outcome

PJV supplied the valves on-time and within budget, liaising closely with the customer to ensure our clients were up to date with progress at every project stage. We also supplied composite valve and actuator General Arrangement drawings.
