Vito platform

| Mississippi canyon, Gulf of Mexico | Shell | Semi-submersible floating production unit

Project background

One of a series of deepwater development projects in the Gulf of Mexico undertaken by Shell, the 9,200 tonne topsides of the Vito floating production unit (FPU) will have the capacity to process 100,000 bopd and 100 million mscf per day of gas.

PJ Valves delivered the high specification actuation requirements, including partial stroke testing functionality, while working with our raw material supply chain to enable an accelerated manufacturing schedule, meeting the project’s challenging lead time requirements.

Scope of supply

PJ Valves accelerated the delivery of the SDVs and ESDVs. The scope included the full valve/actuator/control integration and witness inspection at our factory.

  • ESDV
  • Cryogenic service
  • SDV
  • Extensive scope changes

Outcome

Delivery was early. We supported the project fabrication site in Batam, Indonesia, for next day requirements from our Singapore facility while continuing to work with our Houston-based client from our local US office – 16,000km away.

Commitment

'PJ Valves feels like a true partner'
