Hertford, UK January 2023: PJ Valves celebrates new factory expansion in Pune, India, marking a milestone in growth and innovation.
Project background
The JAK FPSO is located 60 km offshore Ghana in the Offshore Cape Three Points area. The FPSO has an oil production capacity of 58,000 bopd alongside water and gas injection capabilities of 150 mmscfd while the maximum future gas export capacity is 210 mmscfd. It has a design life of 20 years without dry docking and can be moored in an average water depth of 1,000m with a total topside weight of almost 15,000 tonnes.
Scope of supply
PJ Valves manufactured bulk valve requirements for the two main topside EPC contractors, including multiple process modules: oil separation, LP/MP compression module, gas injection module and the sea water treatment module. The scope included water injection ball valves up to 12” 2500# fabricated at our facility along with a package of other valves in materials such as Ni Al Br, CS, duplex and stainless steel.
Outcome
We worked with our clients to meet end user specifications which were in a continuous state of development, whilst also highlighting several approved deviations that resulted in improvements to cost and delivery schedule. Full commissioning support in the fabrication yards in Batam along with the main shipyard in Singapore.
