Onshore processing plants are developed to recover reserves for larger offshore fields, where production duration justifies full infrastructure.


Typically, onshore processing plants consist of multiple well pads connected via flow lines to a central processing facility. Untreated offshore production may also be transported back to shore for treatment via pipeline.
