BP Sangachal Terminal
About BP Sangachal Terminal
Covering an area of 500km² and located 55km from Baku, Sangachal is one of Azerbaijan’s main oil and gas terminals and a vital link in the country’s oil and gas industry. The terminal receives processes, stores and exports crude oil and gas from Azerbaijan's offshore oilfields in the Caspian Sea.
Our customer provides skid mounted packages- in this case the package was to reduce the oil content of produced water from 200ppm to 10ppm. We have worked on many BP projects since the 1970's and this puts us in a good position to successfully provide valves against BP specifications and conditions. We worked very closely with the client to build a joint approach that sought to actively manage the risk on the project. We supplied actuated metal seated ball valves, wafer check valves, and forged steel gate valves. Valves were supplied in LTCS and duplex - the LTCS valves were supplied with a multi coat offshore system.
The project was high profile at our client, and we responded by performing well. The team who managed the project worked very closely with the client to ensure that we kept track of changing project priorities and delivered our valves accordingly. Our customer told us that they were impressed with our ability to tailor our services to their exacting and demanding requirements. The customer was also pleased that we managed to provide and integrate offshore, project specific, actuators on market leading lead times.
